The Jackfruit Jaunt is a short path from the main road that starts at the archway at the Great Falls bend in the road and joins up with the Rainbow Trail below Great Falls and the Rainbow Pavillion, with the Butterfly Path. The large jackfruit trees growing on either side of the path are a reminder that in the early days of KFBG the surrounding slopes were orchard groves of citrus, longan, lychee and guava trees.
This is a short winding path beside the stream that connects the Butterfly Path to the Rainbow Pavilion.
Please download 'Suggested Walking Routes' for details of routes, walking times, elevation, difficulty levels and highlights.
In the high-visitor-traffic areas of the Lower Area there are many handrails, walls and painted step-edges.
In order to preserve the wild feeling of the walking trails in the semi-wild areas of the forest paths above the Raptor Sanctuary and Orchid Haven, and the wild areas of the Never Never and Sky Trails, we provide relatively less safety infrastructure. Visitors are expected to take more personal responsibility for their safety in these areas.
