Native Mammal Display

The past deforestation of Hong Kong made survival particularly difficult for many mammal species. This situation is  now improving due to local conservation efforts. However, many mammals in the region still face a threat from the illegal food and pet trade, with wild populations of some species dwindling at an alarming rate.

In the native mammal display, we have two Leopard Cats that were rescued as orphaned kittens. They cannot be released to the wild.
