This tall signpost with its signs pointing to various world cities has become a popular winter gathering place for Rhesus Macaques and Wild Boar, which come to the area to feed on native tangerines. The Wild Boar often eat fallen fruits, providing a useful service of clearing the fruits from the roadside, and helping the trees spread their fruit seeds throughout the forest. From here a long path, the Signposts Steps, leads down to the Orchard Trail and the Honey Path.
Such signposts were popular in Britain in the 1950's and 60's. This signpost used to be sited on the hilltop just above where the Kadoorie Brothers Memorial Pavilion is now.
