Next to the Pigsties is the Peak Oil Exhibit, which discusses the tipping point of global oil production and the ensuing serious consequences. Hong Kong’s food supply is heavily reliant on cheap oil and gas, used in the production of fertilisers and pesticides, food transportation and refrigeration. We consider that local 'food security' is a very serious issue and that Hong Kong’s agricultural lands should be conserved and actively farmed with urban farming brought into the mainstream so that we will have increased resilience of food supply.
