Green Hub Project

To be responsible for design, co-ordination, management and delivery of food education programmes of the Green Hub in support of sustainable living. Work with the programme team to develop and execute various sustainable living programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage and conduct a range of food education programmes at the Green Hub and outreach projects for people of various ages and backgrounds to facilitate their transition to sustainable living;
  • Help integrate food education elements into the Green Hub’s visitor programmes;
  • Network and engage relevant experts to develop sustainable food programmes;
  • Implement a wide range of low carbon food education workshop and activities at the Green Hub;
  • Develop a marketing strategy to promote low carbon diet, in support sustainable living, to the public, schools and organizations;
  • Monitor the execution and evaluation of projects and activities;
  • Establish and maintain a network of relevant experts, community groups, schools and organizations;
  • Working as a member of the Green Hub programme team to develop and execute various sustainable living programmes, address ad-hoc assigments and regular duties at the Green Hub;
  • Perform occasional night duty and serving duty on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC;
  • Have a deep appreciation of sustainable living and good knowledge of sustainable food system;
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Environmental science, Sociology, Nutrition or related discipline;
  • At least three years of solid experience in developing and executing education programmes. (applicants who have less working experience will be considered as Assistang Officer);
  • Good command of English and Cantonese (knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage);
  • Computer literacy is essential. Knowledge of computer skills including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop will be an advantage;
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with a wide range of people in a positive, inspirational way;
  • Good organizing and communication skills;
  • Mature, self-motivated, dynamic, a good team player and be able to work under pressure;
  • Physically fit for outdoor activities;
  • Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual path;
  • 5-day work per week. Working on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays is essential. Required to work residentially occasionally;
  • Valid Type I or II driving license is an advantage.
