Visit KFBG

Mules Stable

We have a female mule called Duffi.  Mules are working animals and as such they need plenty of exercise to stay fit and healthy. Duffi can be seen walking along our roads, transporting materials such as compost, refuge and tree seedlings around KFBG, to reduce the use of motor vehicles. When not working, Duffi performs the role of education ambassador interacting with visitors during close encounter sessions at the Mule Stables.

The message is 'Slow down'.

Mules are a cross between a horse and a donkey. Before Duffi joined KFBG she spent several years helping to build the Ngong Ping 360 cable car on Lantau Island by carrying heavy equipment loads up the mountain.

The Mule Stables can be visited only on a Guided Visit or during a Mule Keeper Talk. Please look out for our Mule Keeper talks, which we run regularly.
