Education Officer (Horticulture Therapy Programme)

Education Department



  • To develop and conduct horticultural therapy education projects, school talks, seminar, and workshops for schools, family groups, professional groups and community participation in environmental awareness programmes and residential retreats in support of the KFBG Mission;
  • To liaise and co-ordinate with internal staff and external agencies and teachers to ensure effective organization and implementation of transformative education programmes;
  • To design, develop and produce educational resources, books and multi-media materials;
  • To prepare teaching material for horticultural therapy projects;
  • To assist Head of the Education Department on general administrative matters.


  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC;
  • Diploma in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work Studies or related disciplines;
  • Completed the related Horticulture Therapy training courses; experience in educational setting and children services;
  • One-year strong working experience in coordinating Horticulture Therapy groups/programmes preferred;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good command of Cantonese (knowledge of English and/or Putonghua will be an advantage);
  • Physically fit to work in outdoor environment;
  • Able to work independently and a good team player;
  • Proficiency in computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing;
  • Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths.
