Sustainable Living Officer – Food Programme (Green Hub Project)

Main Duties
To be responsible for design, management and delivery of food education programmes of the Green Hub in support of the KFBG mission.
  • To design, manage and conduct a range of food education programmes at the Green Hub and outreach projects for people of various ages and backgrounds to facilitate their transition to sustainable living
  • To help integrate food education elements into the Green Hub’s visitor programmes
  • To develop a marketing strategy to promote low carbon diet, in support of sustainable living, to the public and organization, 
  • To monitor the execution and evaluation of projects and activities
  • To establish and maintain a network of relevant experts, community groups, schools and organizations
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Head of Sustainable Living.
  • Passion for sustainable living. Deep understanding of sustainability issues;
  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC 
  • Good command of Cantonese and English (knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage)
  • Degree in a relevant educational field such as Education, Food Science and Agriculture or relevant field; 
  • At least five years of solid working experience in Environmental Education, Food Education or Community Development preferred;  
  • At least five years of good and solid track experience in education project management or public education will be required;  
  • Proven skills in facilitation, design and implementation of workshops; experience in food and nutrition education would be an advantage;
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and a good team player;
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of people in a positive, inspirational way;
  • Have an understanding of Chinese culture;
  • Physically fit for regular outdoor group activities;
  • Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths;
  • 5-day work per week. Working on weekends and public holidays is essential. Able to work residentially occasionally;
  • Valid Type I or II driving license is an advantage.
