Communications Officer

Partnerships Department

Responsibilities:

  • The Communications Officer works closely with the Head of Partnerships and other colleagues to influence positive public perception of KFBG. These include:
  • Manage public relations development, cultivating strong media relations and creating unpaid and positive media coverage of KFBG mission, positions and programmes
  • Manage and develop KFBG’s social media towards a positive perception of KFBG mission and programmes, leveraging into volunteering and fundraising
  • Manage the KFBG website and e-communications, including maintaining relevance, functionality and timeliness of the website, regular production and distribution of e-newsletters and bulletins
  • Manage advertising development, promoting KFBG mission and programmes in a controlled manner through paid channels
  • Coordinate branding development that encapsulates the vision, mission and programmes of KFBG
  • Coordinate the compilation, editing and production of publications including the Annual Report and other organization materials

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC
  • A university degree
  • 5 years of marketing, communications or social media experience
  • Possess good communication, analytic and project management skills
  • Digital savvy and well versed in social media
  • Good media skills and relationships
  • Knowledge of design and video editing software such as AI, Photoshop and Premiere an advantage
  • Outgoing and positive personality
  • Willingness to work irregular hours or on holidays if needed
  • Possession of Class 1 and 2 driving licence an advantage
  • Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths
