Kadoorie Conservation China Department

Responsibilities:

  • Member of the KCC Department which focuses on biodiversity conservation in mainland China,Cambodia and elsewhere.
  • As part of the team, participate in conceptualization, implementation and monitoring of biodiversity conservation projects.
  • To conduct fieldwork, write reports/papers, manage databases and provide technical assistance to project partners.
  • Promote biodiversity conservation in environmental outreach activities.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC
  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in relation to conservation biology, ecology, zoology, botany, biology, and/or forest conservation.
  • Experience in biodiversity field survey, conservation project management or protected area management is preferred.
  • Candidates with lower/higher qualifications and experience will be considered as an Assistant/Senior Conservation Officer.
  • Proficient in written and/or spoken Putonghua, English, Cantonese, and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge in photography, GIS and multimedia production would be an advantage.
  • Strong people’s skill.
  • Appreciates and enjoys team work.
  • High level of initiative and ability to work under limited supervision and under pressure.
  • Physically fit and willing to do field work in remote mainland China, Cambodia and elsewhere.
  • Represent the organisation with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths.
