Senior Animal Supervisor - Wild Animal Rescue & Project Section

Fauna Conservation Department

Responsibilities

• To assist in the daily management of staff, facilities and rehabilitation cases as part of the Wildlife Rescue Team.
• To ensure the smooth running of all operations in compliance with the relevant standard procedures and husbandry guidelines. 
• To participate in and contribute to other conservation and education projects as required.
• To deal with public enquiries on cases under care.

Requirements

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC.
• Possession of a Degree or certificate in animal care and husbandry or related subject.
• Interest in natural history and wild animals, preferably with local knowledge.
• At least 3 years working experience with hands on experience in animal husbandry field preferred.
• Solid supervisory experience preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese. Mandarin also an advantage.
• Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Publisher & PowerPoint etc).
• Must be physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident in public speaking, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• Willing to undertake rostered work on weekends and holidays.
• Possession of a valid driving licence preferred.
• Open minded and recognizes the validity of all spiritual paths.
