This facility houses injured and convalescing birds of prey. Birds sometimes become disorientated among the mirrored-glass skyscrapers of Hong Kong, and fly into buildings. Many of the birds of prey received by the Wild Animal Rescue Centre have had accidents; others were kept illegally as pets and were abandoned or ill-treated. Some of these birds are building up their strength before they are released to the wild. Others would not survive in the wild and are permanent captives.
