Andrew McAulay (Chairperson)

Andrew became the first Executive Director of KFBGC, when it was established in 1995 and has been Board Chair since December 1999. He is the grand-nephew of Sir Horace Kadoorie and the grandson of Lord Lawrence Kadoorie and is a trustee of the Kadoorie Foundation. Andrew is a poet, nature lover and breathwork facilitator and has a degree in Law from Oxford University.

Andrew Brandler

Mr. Brandler is Chairman of Sir Elly Kadoorie & Sons Ltd. and a Trustee of the Kadoorie Foundation. He joined the KFBG Board in September 2014. Mr. Brandler was Chief Executive Officer of CLP Holdings Ltd. from May 2000 to September 2013. He was Chairman of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce from 2008 to 2010. Mr. Brandler holds an MA degree from Cambridge University and MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

Christine Chau

Christine Chau has been active in community work in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Asia. In the 1980s she worked with under-privileged communities. Starting from 1990s she worked with programmes for community development in Mainland China. From 2002 to 2016, Christine was the Director of "Partnerships for Community Development" (PCD), a sister organisation of KFBG, which promotes ecological well-being and sustainable living in urban and rural communities in Mainland China. Christine holds an MA degree from Warwick University.

Dan Bradshaw

Dan Bradshaw was a solicitor in private practice in Hong Kong but has been retired from practice now for several years. He is a non-executive director of IRC Limited and has been on the EXCO of World Wildlife Fund for Nature Hong Kong, being appointed as the chairman early 2021. Dan is an avid bird-watcher and can often be found at the Mai Po Nature Reserve and at Kadoorie Farm’s biodiverse habitats.

Deborah McAulay

Deborah was born and raised in Hong Kong. She worked as Creative Director for KFBG from 1994 to 2003 and joined the Board in 2002. She is a trustee of the Kadoorie Foundation, and works in the field of wellness and creative arts. Deborah is a mother of three and is passionate about sharing her love of nature and spirit wherever possible.

Ruy Barretto, S.C.

Born and educated in Hong Kong, Mr. Barretto was admitted to the Bar in 1975 and is a Senior Counsel. An amateur naturalist since the 1960s, he has found "first records for Hong Kong" in orchids, butterflies and birds. He is involved in both heritage and nature conservation by advising and helping several conservation groups, particularly in policy and planning submissions. Mr. Barretto helped in the incorporation process of the KFBGC and has been a Board Member since 1995.

Ruy has served on numerous government committees and was a member of the Steering Committee and Working Groups drafting the first Biodiversity and Action Plan for the Hong Kong Government.

Wai Chi Ho

Wai Chi served in the Independent Commission Against Corruption since 2011 and became the Director of Community Relations Department in 2018 until his departure in 2022.

Prior to his public service, Wai Chi served as an senior executive or board member in several local and international NGOs with mission such as environmental protection, HIV/AIDS awareness, global poverty alleviation, contemporary art education, fair trade and social development in the third world.

Wai Chi holds MA degrees from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka.
