Piers Jacobs Wildlife Sanctuary

The Barking Deer were rescued as orphans, and because they are friendly with people cannot be released back to the wild.  They receive professional care and we provide a naturalised enclosure for their captivity.

The same species of bats and deer can be found wild in the KFBG woodlands. If you walk quietly and slowly in the forest you may come across some of the native wildlife.

Visitors can also check out the permanent exhibition by the Kadoorie Conservation China Department (KCC) and find out about KCC's work in protecting endangered wildlife and habitats in mainland China and Cambodia.
