Project Officer
Regenerative Agriculture Department
Major responsibilities
Manage and oversee outreach projects for Regenerative Agriculture Department (RAD). The focus will include but not limit to promote community garden in urban area, supporting farmers event, sustainable farmland conservation/ management scheme and alternative food system model.
RAD outreach programs
- Initiate, coordinate and undertake replicable models in outreach for sustainable food system, including farmers market and community supported agriculture.
- Coordinate and back up the outreach project of community farm/urban agriculture, and farmland conservation/management scheme.
- Coordinate and back up the projects of various farming courses.
Display and Publication Development
- Undertake and coordinate projects of developing agriculture educational materials, including teaching information of various farming courses, especially on bee keeping course.
- Initiate publication and other educational materials to the general public.
Onsite agriculture research
- Initiate and implement various onsite farmland experiments of regenerative agriculture research. Focus will include but not limited to bee keeping, soil, mulching and EM application.
- Organize and utilize research result as educational information for promoting regenerative agriculture.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder of biological science, agriculture, or relevant disciplines;
- Good knowledge of local agriculture and organic farming. Knowledge of Regenerative Agriculture, Permaculture or beekeeping management will be an advantage;
- Minimum of two year-experiences in farming-related field or agricultural projects; experience in community farm and urban agriculture projects will be an advantage;
- Good management skills, with strong and positive work motivation;
- Able to work independently, with good communication skill and outgoing personality;
- Physically fit for frequent outdoor;
- Love nature and farming.
