Introductory Courses on Sustainable Agriculture for City Farmers 2023

1. Nature / Objectives
Farming within a city landscape can play an important role in enhancing food security combined with the joyful experience of producing delicious food. This 3-day course has been designed to promote understanding of the potentials of city farming and to provide the basic skills for growing one's own food in a sustainable way.

  • Permaculture Principles
  • Design of a Community Garden
  • Site visit of KFBG's sustainable farming practice
  • Soil conservation and No-Dig Garden
  • Seasonal crop planting
  • Compost and Organic Waste Recovery
  • Pest Control
  • Nursery and Container Garden
  • Basic Farming Technique
  • Realize models of community supported agriculture

3. Target Group / No. of Participants
Age: 15 or above / Course size: 23 persons (first come first served)
