Upcycled timber, reclaimed from KFBG
Co-created by Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden and local woodcraft studio Che Artisan Workshop, this series of wooden whistles uses timber reclaimed at KFBG, including native Hairy Chestnut, alongside wood given a new, gentle life from old furniture and timber structures. Through the thoughtful hands of skilled artisans, each piece is transformed into a portable companion that sings a quiet movement of life.
Two states of mind, two voices
Whether worn around the neck, hung from a backpack or resting quietly on your desk, each whistle is a gentle reminder carrying time and stories within.
What makes each one its own
- Handcrafted from native Hairy Chestnut provided by KFBG, together with other reclaimed Basralocus timber
- Mountain Call (minimalist design): clean, elegant lines in reclaimed wood, warm and smooth to the touch
- Woodsong (natural branch design): carved directly from a tree branch, preserving the raw textures and forms of nature
- Entirely handmade: every whistle sounds unique
- Compact in size, it can be worn on an adjustable cord or hung from your belongings, so the sound of nature is always with you
