Meet Our Happy Residents: Piers Jacobs Wildlife Sanctuary
The newly renovated Piers Jacobs Wildlife Sanctuary (PJWS) has been upgraded to provide an even more enriching environment for the rescued animals and a more comfortable, immersive experience for you. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about compassion and conservation.
Say “Hello!” to Our Conservation Ambassadors
Our resident barking deers, Didi and Sasa, are now enjoying their newly landscaped homes. We’ve added large tree trunks and logs to encourage their natural behaviours.
Lula the leopard cat is staying active and engaged thanks to a fantastic new network of climbing branches.

The sanctuary is dedicated to providing professional animal welfare and care. The upgrades not only enhance animal comfort but also incorporate sustainable design elements that also serve as educational insights:
- Comfort and foot health: We use special soft bedding made of compost and straw that is softer on animals’ paws.
- Green airflow design: We’ve installed solar roof fans and barn roof ridge vents to ensure fresh airflow.
Supporting Local Wildlife Conservation
Your visit to the upgraded PJWS allows you to see how we create better living spaces for rescued wildlife and learn about Hong Kong’s biodiversity in a fun and educational way. As your children explore the animals’ new homes, they will gain a deeper respect and appreciation for nature.
Explore a World of Green Wonders
Alongside animal conservation, protecting Hong Kong’s native plants is also a major focus at KFBG. Bring your family to explore green living and discover Hong Kong’s rich natural ecology.

A Journey of Art and Nature: Impressions, Expressions – Botanical Art Exhibition Exclusive Guided Tour
Go beyond the canvas with our professional guides for an exploration designed to spark curiosity in visitors of all ages. This tour takes visitors on a journey that begins indoors and ventures into the wild. The tour starts at Art House, where guides lead guests into creative stories and intricate details behind each artwork of the seven featured native plants. But the exploration doesn’t stop at the frame – the tour then heads outside for a guided walk through our lush gardens.
Here, children can become nature detectives, hunting for real-life versions of the plants they just saw painted. It is a wonderful opportunity to bridge art and reality: seeing the plants growing in their natural habitat brings the artwork to life.
