Intern Project Duration:
Two months duration between 1 June – 31 August 2026
Project Scope:
The intern project will be separated into two parts. In the first part, the intern will assist with daily animal husbandry work in the ward to gain more understanding about the rescue and rehabilitation process, and skills and knowledge of taking care of baby animals.
The second part provides an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience with animal record management. The intern will assist in maintaining accurate records, including animal admissions, dispositions, and daily husbandry activities. The intern will build important skills in data management and animal care, offering insight into the essential operations that support animal welfare at WARC.
Details:
Service Period: Two months between June to August
Working days: 5 days per week (might need to work on weekends and public holidays)
Working Hour: 0830-1700, including 1 hour lunch time
Travel allowance: HKD100 per day
Intern duties:
- Assist with the animal husbandry work in Ward and outdoor enclosures
- Maintain accurate records, including animal admissions, dispositions, and daily husbandry activities
- Support essential operation of animal husbandry

Job Requirements:
- Enjoys nature and is physically fit for outdoor activities
- Tertiary student or has tertiary qualifications
- Good command of English and Cantonese (spoken and written);
- Self-motivated, creative, with outgoing personality and energetic;
- Able to work independently and in a team
