Internship Project Title:
Animal Record Intern in Wild Animal Rescue Centre

Intern Project Duration:
Two months duration between 1 June – 31 August 2026
Project Scope:
The internship project will be divided into two parts.
In the first part, the intern will assist with daily animal husbandry in the ward to gain a deeper understanding of the rescue and rehabilitation process as well as skills and knowledge in caring for baby animals.
The second part provides an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in animal record management. The intern will help maintain accurate records, including animal admissions, dispositions, and daily husbandry activities. Through this work, the intern will develop important skills in data management and animal care while gaining insight into the essential operations that support animal welfare at the Wild Animal Rescue Centre.
Details:
Service Period: Two months between June to August
Working Days: 5 days per week (might need to work on weekends and public holidays)
Working Hour: 0830-1700, including 1 hour lunch time
Travel Allowance: HKD100 per day
Intern Duties:
- Assisting with animal husbandry in the ward and outdoor enclosures
- Maintaining accurate records, including animal admissions, dispositions, and daily husbandry activities
- Supporting essential animal husbandry operations

Job Requirements:
- Loves nature and physically fit for outdoor work
- Current tertiary student or graduate
- Strong spoken and written English and Cantonese
- Self-motivated, creative, outgoing and energetic
- Ability to work independently and in a team
