Throughout 2026, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) celebrates its 70th anniversary — seven decades of nurturing life, learning, and connection at this mountain sanctuary. Over these years, countless memories have taken root in the soil, flowed through the streams and echoed in the calls of animals and the rustle of trees. This anniversary is an invitation: to return, to remember and to share the stories that connect us to this living landscape.
We are honoured to host at KFBG four esteemed elders, who will share the wisdom that has helped to shape our educational philosophy and approach over the past decades: Claire Elouard, Colin Campbell, Jhon Kwano and Satish Kumar. Each of these respected elders brings an important message for our times, offering insights on how to connect deeply with the energy of nature, lessons from indigenous knowledge and the wisdom of living with elegant simplicity while cultivating unconditional love for the Earth.
Guided by the theme ‘awakening of memory’, we invite you to engage with these four elders in a series of activities throughout March 2026. The programme has been carefully curated to deepen our connection with nature and help us remember our place within the greater community of beings.
