City Nature Challenge 2022 - Guided Walk at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden

This year, over 400 cities including Hong Kong, will partake in the City Nature Challenge. By participating, you can learn more about flora and fauna found locally and help document them with the iNaturalist app! Join us at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden for a guided walk — where it is home to many wild plants and animals — our staff will provide expertise in identifying plants and animals.

From 30 April to 2 May 2022, you can participate in guided walks with different themes upon pre-registration.

Before coming to KFBG to join this event, you can click the links below to download the iNaturalist app and upload a few observations to practice:

For your safety, the programme will be subjected to the latest COVID-19 situation and group gathering regulations closer to the event date. Updates will be provided after application.

  • Children aged 11 or below must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Participants will not receive a refund if they withdraw from the event.
  • Participants will receive a full refund if the guided walk is cancelled due to a COVID-19 outbreak or adverse weather.

If the signal is hoisted 2.5 hours prior to the starting time of the visit, the guided tours will be cancelled. Participants will receive a full refund.

Activities and routes of the guided tour are subject to changes depending on weather conditions.

Participants will receive a full refund if the guided walk is cancelled due to adverse weather.

Open, but visitors are advised to descend from the upper areas.
