Natural Woodcraft Series: Upcycled Wood Workshop

We invite you to experience a transformative journey of using wood debris to craft unique wood products of your choice. Visit our wood workshop, learn about different wood recycling methods and get hands-on experience using hand tools to craft raw wood chunks into a kalimba keyring, serving platter, desktop organiser or mallet.To complete your journey, our instructor will lead you on a relaxing tree walk in the lower farm area to let you open your heart, listen and be alive to nature. As Mother’s Day is coming soon, we invite you to celebrate with your loved ones by creating woodcraft gifts with us.

Content

Morning session
Introduction to handling craft tools and woodwork demonstration. You will make your own wood product from recycled wood pieces under the guidance of our experienced carpenters.

Lunch
You can bring your own food, or order vegetarian lunch from the Eat Well Cafe.

Afternoon session
A guided tree walk led by our instructors. Walk around the lower farm area to make your acquaintance with local tree species and experience our connection with Mother Nature.

Instructors    Mr. Snoopy Lo
  Mr. Lo is a retired geography teacher who joined KFBG as a volunteer over a decade ago. He is passionate about wood crafting and possesses rich experience in teaching. Snoopy is now a woodwork instructor at KFBG, responsible for educating the public on recycling wood.
