Graphic and Digital Designer
Communication and Marketing Department

Job Summary

The Graphic and Digital Designer will play a vital role in visually communicating KFBG’s mission and work. This position is responsible for creating a wide range of multimedia visual content across print and digital platforms, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand identity. The ideal candidate will be a versatile designer with a passion for nature and sustainability, producing high-quality artwork for various communication and marketing needs, from publications and social media to on-site events.

Major responsibilities
This is an individual contributor role. The incumbent will report to the Head of Communication & Marketing.

Branding and Corporate Identity (CI):

  • Champion and maintain KFBG's brand and style guidelines across all materials to ensure a cohesive and unified visual identity.
  • Provide guidance on brand compliance and contribute to the evolution of the organisation's visual representation.

Print and Publications:

  • Design and manage the layout and production of print materials, including the Annual Report, brochures, newsletters and posters.
  • Liaise with printing vendors to ensure quality production and timely delivery of materials.

Social and Digital Artwork:

  • Create engaging and original visual assets for all digital channels, including the KFBG website, mini-sites, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), email newsletters, and online campaigns.
  • Develop infographics, short videos, and other digital media content to effectively communicate our stories and conservation work.

Event Support:

  • Design and produce promotional and on-site materials for KFBG events, workshops, and programmes, such as banners, signage, backdrops, and presentations.

General Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with various departments to understand their communication needs and deliver effective design solutions.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain an organised library of all design assets, including photos and graphics.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the quality of work.
  • Carry out any other duties or ad hoc projects as required.
  • Occasional weekend work is required to support events and other activities.

Job Requirements

·         A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

·         Proven experience in graphic design or communications role, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both print and digital design.

·         High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro) and other relevant design software.

·         Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, layout design, and branding principles.

·         Experience in preparing files for print production.

·         Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly.

·         Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.

·         Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

·         Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is an advantage.
