Since Michelle joined KFBG in 2016 as Senior Conservation Officer, she has been working with nature reserves in Hainan and other institutes in China and overseas on conserving the threatened Hainan Eld’s Deer. In 2020, she took up the position of Senior Project Officer, responsible for KCC’s outreach and publicity. Her academic focus was ecology and her research applied dendrochronology and computer models on assessing and predicting the impacts of climate change.
