LO Yik Fui, Philip

Senior Conservation Officer (Projects)

Fauna Conservation Department - Kadoorie Conservation China Programme

Since joining KFBG in 2007, Philip has been actively involved in various biodiversity conservation projects in Mainland China and overseas. He previously managed the conservation projects of Hainan Gibbon, Hainan’s limestone ecosystem, and the Hornbills of China. After years of exploring remote wilderness areas, Philip has recently focused more on the biodiversity of his home city. His current projects involve biodiversity assessments from countryside to urban areas of Hong Kong, as well as updating the conservation status of local species. Additionally, he co-authored several popular butterfly references for Hong Kong and Mainland China, and serves as the butterfly expert on the KCC biodiversity assessment team. Philip is a fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and a member of several IUCN/SSC specialist groups (butterflies, hornbills, and primates).
