Since Philip joined KFBG in 2007, he has been involved in various biodiversity conservation projects in Mainland China and overseas. He used to manage the conservation projects of the hornbills in China and the Exianling limestone ecosystem in Hainan, and now he is the person in charge of the Hainan Gibbon conservation project. He serves as the butterfly expert in the KCC biodiversity assessment team. He is a member of several IUCN/SSC specialist groups (butterfly, hornbill and primate).
