Since joining KCC in 2012, Jianhuan has managed various conservation projects in southern China and Cambodia, focusing on safeguarding a range of globally neglected and threatened species, including the Water Monitor, Skywalker Hoolock Gibbon, otters, Banteng, Green Peafowl, etc. He has also led KCC’s biodiversity survey team in conducting surveys in Gaoligongshan of Yunnan, and the Eastern Plains Landscape of Cambodia to uncover the region’s hidden biodiversity and enhance protection efforts in collaboration with local partners. Currently, Jianhuan spearheads KCC’s conservation initiatives, leading efforts to conserve endangered species and fragile ecosystems in Hong Kong and southern China.
